1. Use a sulphate-free shampoo & conditioner: Sulphates can strip the hair of its natural oils and cause colour to fade quickly. Look for a shampoo that is gentle and specifically formulated for colour-treated hair. Conditioning is crucial for treated hair, as it helps to restore moisture lost during the colouring process. Use a conditioner that is designed for colour-treated hair and leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing ( enquire in store)
2. Limit heat styling: Heat styling tools like blow dryers, flat irons, and curling irons can cause damage to colour-treated hair. Try to limit the use of these tools, and when you do use them, be sure to use a heat protectant spray.
3. Protect from the sun: The sun’s UV rays can cause colour to fade and dry out treated hair. Protect your hair by wearing a hat or using a UV-protective hair product.
4. Avoid Chlorine: Chlorine can be very damaging to colour-treated hair, so avoid swimming in chlorinated water if possible. If you do swim in a pool, wear a swim cap or rinse your hair with clean water immediately after swimming.
5. Get Regular Trims: Regular trims can help to prevent split ends and keep treated hair looking healthy and vibrant.
